SPACE OF LOVE

SPACE OF LOVE is one of the first works that Bella created on Maui. When joining her Hula Halau ‘Wehiwehi O’Leilehua’ and through dancing hula her creativity was re-awakened. After many years of "creative abstinence", Bella began painting again and credits her Kumu Hula, island royalty Gordean Bailey, with this transformation.

The Quote that is reflected in the middle of the tattoo honors Auntie Gordean Bailey :

Waiho kou hihia i ka puka o ka hale, lawe kou aloha na hula i ka wahi

"When you come to the Halau leave all your troubles at the door, and bring only the love for Hula into the space"
